Dive RAID - Boat Diving Instructor

This course provides a Dive RAID Specialty Instructor with the knowledge to conduct and certify a Certified Diver as an RAID Boat Specialty Diver.

RAID Boat Diver Specialty Is designed to expand your knowledge of boats and diving from a boat. Boat Diver specialty is for any certified diver who has the equivalent of RAID Open Water 20.

Dive RAID Boat Diver Specialty

Whether you've never made a boat dive or you've logged dozens, the RAID Boat Diver Specialty course can benefit almost every diver because different boats in different parts of the world do things differently.
This Specialty is designed to expand your knowledge of boats and diving from a boat.

RAID Boat Diver Prerequisite
• To be a minimum of 15 years old.
• Certified RAID Open Water 20 or equivalent.
• Complete the RAID registration procedures.

RAID Boat Diver Duration
The boat diver is run over a weekend dive trip and normally in conjunction with other Dive RAID Specialty.

Course Overview
You will complete
• RAID On-line e-learning academic presentations, quizzes, exam and practical skills as detailed.
• Minimum of two open water training dives required.

You will also learn the tips, tricks and ways to:
• Dive from boats ranging from small inflatable's to giant live-aboard
• How they differ from place to place gain experience and training from diving on boats in your local area
• Safely enter and exit the water (sometimes it's better to hand your gear up to the crew and then climb in the boat sometimes you just take off your fins and weights and walk up the ladder)
• Stow your gear in the most appropriate areas
• Use surface lines to initiate or conclude your dives
• Locate basic boat safety equipment
